Tour Overview

Some journeys allow you to see a country. This one allows you to truly live it.

The 21-Day Ultimate Uganda Expedition is Ahakaro Safaris’ signature experience, thoughtfully crafted for travelers seeking more than a traditional safari. It is an immersive journey through Uganda’s remarkable wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, vibrant cultures, and welcoming communities.

From tracking mountain gorillas in ancient rainforests and cruising beside giant hippos on the Kazinga Channel to sharing meals with pastoral families in Karamoja, learning centuries-old traditions from the Batwa, paddling across the tranquil waters of Lake Bunyonyi, and watching the sunrise over Africa’s vast savannahs, every day reveals a different side of the Pearl of Africa.

This expedition follows a carefully planned route that connects Uganda’s iconic national parks with authentic community homestays, allowing travelers to experience both the country’s extraordinary biodiversity and the warmth of its people. Every homestay directly supports local families and community tourism initiatives, ensuring that your journey contributes to sustainable conservation and rural livelihoods.
