Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls & Rhino Tracking
Depart from Kampala or Entebbe (roughly a 6-hour drive) and enjoy a detour at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track wild rhinos on foot. Continue to the top of Murchison Falls to witness the Nile squeeze through a 7-meter gorge.
Day 2: Full-Day Sport Fishing on the Nile
Board a specialized fishing boat and head to the waters just below the falls—the most productive section of the river. You will spend the day casting or trolling for the legendary Nile Perch (and occasionally Tigerfish or Catfish) using the catch-and-release method.
Day 3: Second Fishing Session & Murchison Hike
Enjoy another thrilling half or full day on the water. In the afternoon, you can embark on a hiking trail to the top of the falls to feel the immense power of the rushing water.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive & Departure
Take an early morning game drive across the savannah to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffaloes. Afterward, make the return drive back to Kampala or Entebbe.
