9 Day Gorillas, Rhinos, Chimps & The Nile Scheduled Safari

Day 1: Entebbe
You will be met on arrival in Entebbe with a VIP meet and greet inside the airport. 
Transfer to Best Western Premier Garden Hotel for overnight. 

Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Transfer after breakfast to Entebbe airport for your flight to Kihihi airstrip. (+- 90 min scheduled flight on board a small aircraft with max luggage of 15kgs).
Your guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you through local farmlands and villages to Bwindi – a scenic drive of around 2 hours. 
Rest of the day at leisure to relax and explore the local area. 
Overnight at Buhoma Lodge for 3 nights.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Encountering mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is an exhilarating experience that defies description. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you will embark on an early morning trek into the lush, dense rainforest on the steep mountain slopes of Bwindi.

Gorilla trekking can be demanding, with treks lasting from 45 minutes to eight hours, often in high altitudes and hot conditions. We recommend hiring a local porter to assist you on your trek. While mountain gorillas are wild animals and sightings cannot be guaranteed, the success rate is over 95%,
Once you find your gorilla family, you’ll have an hour to quietly observe these magnificent creatures. Time will fly by, so savor every moment, not just through your camera lens. 

For our scheduled departures, we typically secure permits for Buhoma & Ruhija, both accessible from the Buhoma area.  Some treks require a road transfer to the starting point, offering you the chance to explore different parts of this stunning region.
After your trek, unwind with a complimentary massage at Buhoma Lodge or take the opportunity to explore the vibrant Bwindi community.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Today, you have the option to embark on another thrilling gorilla trek or indulge in a day of  leisure exploring the captivating Bwindi area. Opt for a community village walk, or take a serene forest walk to enjoy the outstanding birdlife and tranquil surroundings.  

Please note that additional permits must be pre-purchased, so inform us at the time of booking if you wish to trek again.
Overnight at Buhoma Lodge.



Day 5: Entebbe
After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe.
Transfer to your hotel. 
In the afternoon, embark on a fascinating boat excursion to the Mabamba Swamps in search of the elusive Shoebill.

Day 6: Pakuba
Your safari guide will meet you after breakfast.
Drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Continue onto the spectacular Murchison Falls National Park, and take a walk to the Top of the Falls, witnessing the stunning power and beauty of the mighty Nile River.
Overnight Paraa Safari Lodge. 
 



Day 7: Pakuba
Begin your day with an early morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll have the opportunity to encounter elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and more in their natural habitat.

Embark on a thrilling afternoon Nile boat cruise to the foot of the falls. Witness the impressive cascade of water and spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species along the riverbanks.

Day 8: Pakuba
Start your day early with an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Budongo Forest.
Round off the rest of the day with a game drive.

Day 9: End of Itinerary
Return after breakfast to Entebbe for your flight back home.
